Green Purchasing Program

What is the Green Bulk Purchasing Program?

Our Green Bulk Purchasing Program aggregates the faith communities’ buying power for sustainable products and services at a negotiated lower price. The problem we are addressing is that faith institutions, essentially large, nonprofit businesses, are trying to go green but don’t have the expertise to identify the best sustainable products and services nor the manpower to research, access and negotiate a lower price for them.

Our program serves thousands of faith institutions including churches, synagogues, mosques, schools, senior centers, community organizations, hospitals, etc. We are also able to impact the hundreds of thousands of individuals that are members of these institutions and tap their billions in purchasing power for green products and services.

How Does It Work?

Faith2Green does the research, develops the bulk-purchasing contracts, and blesses the selected products! The program makes it accessible and affordable for faith institutions to go green and have a large social impact. Solar power, recycled waste management, biodegradable-cleaning supplies, hybrid cars and sustainable office supplies all have an environmental and health benefit when chosen over polluting products.

Companies want access to this level of buying power and agree to pay a fee to be a part of the program as well as donate a percentage of every sale. After experiencing cost savings through energy efficiency and conservation measures promoted through the program, faith institutions will be able to pay a membership fee as well.

Our pilot program with Toyota, Waste Management, and solar companies has produced millions in sales. With your help, we will formalize the program and expand our self-funded, sustainable model.
